PREVIEW: Women's Nordic Concludes Season with SuperTour Finals

MARQUETTE, Mich. - The NMU women's nordic ski team is on the road this week, competing in the SuperTour Finals.

The 2024-25 Swix Cup SuperTour Finals, presented by the National Nordic Foundation, will conclude in Lake Placid, bringing together the top racers from across the country, including some who have competed internationally throughout the season.

The event features four races and serves as the decisive competition for overall SuperTour standings. The top-ranked athletes will secure a spot in Period 1 of the 2025-26 World Cup. Additionally, the 2025 SuperTour Finals provide a valuable opportunity for racers to experience Lake Placid's trails ahead of the 2026 World Cup Finals.

Wednesday, March 26:

9:00 am | Women 10 km Individual Start Freestyle – SuperTour

Friday, March 28:
2:00 pm | Women & Men 1.3 km Individual Sprint Qualification Freestyle
3:55 pm | Women & Men National Championship Sprint Final

Saturday, March 29, 2025:
10:00 am | National Championship Mixed Relay 4 x 5 km – Classic & Free

Sunday, March 30, 2025:
8:00 am | Women National Championship 40 km Mass Start Classic & Junior Men 15 km

 

SuperTour Standings
Henriette Nilssen leads the 'Cats in SuperTour points in 32nd overall and the 19th overall collegiate skier with 34 points, thanks to 12 points in sprint competitions and 22 points in distance competitions. 

Pearl Harvey and Jordan Parent round out the 'Cats in scoring at 63rd and 75th with five and one point, respectively.
