WORKING CREDENTIALS
Applications for scouting and working press credentials for NMU Wildcat athletic events must be made at least one week in advance of the game to be scouted, covered or filmed. Appropriate credentials will be mailed or held for pick up at the will call ticket booth. No one will be admitted to the press box who is not in an official capacity.
PHOTO PASSES
Photo press passes are limited to daily and weekly newspapers, student newspapers, magazines, wire services and officially affiliated media photographers. All requests must come through NMU Sports Information. Freelance photographers will be granted media passes ONLY if space is available after all media requests are met. If an NBG is approving media requests, it is quite likely that a freelance photographer with no media affiliation may be denied credentials.
COACH AND PLAYER INTERVIEWS
NMU coaches are available weekday mornings when not traveling and following practices. Interviews prior to practices or games should be arranged through the NMU Sports Information Office. Most NMU coaches do not allow player interviews prior to games.
Coaches and players are available for post-game interviews following a 10-minute cooling-off period. For NMU football games, the post-game interview area is located in in the Superior Dome. For NMU men's basketball, women's basketball, and hockey, interviews take place in the Izzo-Mariucci Room. For all other Wildcat sports, the location of the interview area will be announced prior to the end of the competition.
PRACTICES
Media are always welcome at NMU athletics practices with advanced notice. Most Wildcat teams practice at 3 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Thursday. Contact the appropriate media coordinator to verify a specific practice time as well as coach and/or player availability.
