Women's Nordic Ski Wraps Up NCAA Championship with 20k

HANOVER, NH. - The NMU women's nordic ski team wrapped up the 2025 NCAA National Championships with the 20k mass start.

Both Wildcat skiers accumulated team points, with Henriette Nilssen and Victoria Dybwad finishing 24th and 26th at times of 55:13.3 and 55:33.6, respectively. 

Of CCSA skiers, Nilssen finished first, followed by Greta Hansen of Michigan tech in 25th at 55:26.6, then Dybwad in third. Of conference schools, NMU posted 12 team points to finish 11th, followed by Michigan Tech in 12th with 7. 

40 individuals from 17 institutions raced competed today, led by Kendall Kramer of the University of Alaska with her time of 50:14.2, adding a gold to her ninth-place finish on Thursday. Erica Laven finished second at 50:49.6, adding silver to go along with her gold-medal in the 7.5k. Tilde Baangman of the University of Colorado earned bronze at 51:01.8 after finishing 10th on Thursday.

Utah finished first with 78 team points, followed by Colorado with 72 and Montana State with 68.

The 'Cats now have a few weeks off before wrapping up the 2024/25 season in Lake Placid, New York, competing in the US Spring National Championships & SuperTour Finals from March 26 to March 30.
