Box Score ST. CLOUD, Minn. — St. Cloud State used a second-half goal to down the Northern Michigan women's soccer team Friday night at Husky Stadium.
With the teams knotted at one apiece in the 58th minute, Maria Kass netted an unassisted marker to pull the Huskies ahead. Krass also scored the game's opening goal in the seventh minute.
Northern Michigan's lone tally was netted by Casey Durand in the 39th minute off of a feed from Rachel LaManna. Alexandra Simmons recorded six saves in the losing effort.
St. Cloud State outshot Northern Michigan, 16-4. The Huskies also held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Wildcats return to action Sunday when they take on Winona State at 1 p.m.
