Box Score ALLENDALE, Mich. — The Northern Michigan women's soccer team fell to No. 4 Grand Valley State, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the GVSU soccer field in front of 255 fans.
The Wildcats were unable to match the Lakers' high-powered offense. Kendra Stauffer proved to be difficult to defend as she posted four goals of the Lakers. Marti Corby, Katie Klunder and Katie Bounds also scored goals.
Grand Valley State held the edge in shots, 30-4, and corner kicks, 2-0. Alexandra Simmons recorded four saves while Caroline Glantz also saw time in net, posting five saves.
With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 5-8 (5-4 GLIAC) on the season. They return home to face Saginaw Valley State Oct. 23 at 4 p.m.
