LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Northern Michigan Track & Field team finished out its west coast weekend at the Beach Invite on Saturday, with two seniors hitting NCAA provisional marks to highlight the event.
The team of
Ellyse Wolfrath,
Ciara Ostrenga,
Ahna Larson, and
Crystal Walker got the day started in the 4x100m relay, finishing at 47.69. Later on in the day, Larson, Wolfrath, and Ostrenga teamed up with
Beverly Harper in the 4x400m relay, crossing at 3:55.90.
Larson had a standout performance when she competed in the 400m hurdles, hitting an NCAA provisional mark and a personal record of 1:02.04.
Walker and Wolfrath both took to the 100m hurdles, where Walker also hit the NCAA provisional mark at 14.18 while Wolfrath finished in 14.24. Walker also competed in the long jump earlier in the day, hitting a distance of 5.45m.
Harper ran in the 800m, completing the race in 2:16.52.
