CALIFORNIA - On day two of three for the Northern Michigan Track & Field team on the west coast, five runners competed at the Bryan Clay Invite and the ULV Leopard Invite, finishing their time at each respective meet.
Northern collected one victory on the day to go along with three more personal records (PR's), bringing their total to eight this weekend.

Alayna Vandegriff competed in the triple jump, where she grabbed a victory with a distance of 11.04m.

Emma Sweeney,
Skylar Grubb, and
Sophia Potter represented the Wildcats in the meet's 5K. Grubb posted NMU's top time with a PR of 17:28.90. VanLente was next in and also recorded a PR at 17:52.90, Potter was just behind her at 17:53.06, and Sweeney crossed the finish line at 18:28.94.
Three of those runners hit PR's in their respective races on Thursday. In the 3000m steeplechase, Van Lente finished with a time of 11:19.19 and
Emma Sweeney was right behind at 11:23.46. Grubb and Potter ran in the 10000m. Grubb crushed her previous PR (36:59.48) by over 30 seconds, notching a time of 36:25.94 to earn 2nd place. Potter finished with a time of 37:43.18 to take 6th in her inaugural 10K.
Bryan Clay Invite - Azusa, CA
Results
Lamar Gordon was the lone Wildcat to compete at the Bryan Clay Invite on Friday, running in the 1500m. She cut nearly 10 seconds off of her PR, clocking in at 4:38.54.

Gordon also ran the 800m on Thursday, where she posted another PR of 2:17.57.
Beverly Harper also ran Thursday's 800m before heading off for Saturday's Beach Invite in Long Beach. She finished with a time of 2:14.73, also a PR.
