DeCarlo Gold and Stute Silver in both Skins and 100 IM

MARQUETTE, Mich. - The #10 Wildcats welcomed the #13 Wayne State Warriors to the PEIF Pool for a skins meet to open the weekend.

Before the pool got to the skins competition, the teams raced in the 200 medley relay, 100 IM, and 200 free relay, and both the 3-meter and 1-meter boards. NMU claimed 12 of the possible podium finishes, including sweeping the 200 medley and 100 IM. On the board, Kalina Ceglinski continued her hot streak, as she won both the 3-meter and 1-meter diving.

Evie Decarlo won the skins elimination contest, as she finished second in the free, first in the breast, and second in the back before claiming first over Kenzie Stute in the fly finals. DeCarlo also claimed gold and Stute silver in the 100 IM, the only other individual pool event on the evening.

The Wildcats are back in the pool tomorrow morning against Wayne, with competition starting in the PEIF Pool at 10 a.m.
