Final Day of Prelims at the NCAA Championship for Women's Swim and Dive

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The final morning prelims came to a close for the NMU women's swim and dive team.

Evangeline Pierce represented NMU in the 200 back, finishing in 17th overall and just 0.08 seconds outside of the final qualifying time for this evening.

Junior diver Kalina Ceglinski will take to the board for her first dives at 2 p.m. ET. Her scores will be updated after the finals this evening.

The finals begin at 6:30 p.m. ET and can be watched for free at Ncaa.com.

How It Happened
Pierce took to the pool in heat three of four in the 200 back, swimming on the edge in lane nine. Pierce was 12th at the time of finishing with one heat left after her time of 2:01.47. The final heat pushed her down to 17th, one position and 0.08 seconds outside of the final qualifying time.
