Kalina Ceglinski earns All-America honor in 1-Meter at NCAA Championships

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Junior diver earned second-team All-America honors on the final day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The junior qualified for the consolation finals with a score of 396.25 in the prelim qualifier, finishing 15th in the morning session. She then turned around and finished third in the 'B' final with a score of 412.85. Ceglinski finished 9th in the 3-meter board and 11th in the 1-meter board, earning second-team All-America honors in both events.

Morning Session
Evangeline Pierce represented NMU in the 200 back, finishing in 17th overall and just 0.08 seconds outside of the final qualifying time for this evening.

Junior diver Kalina Ceglinski posted a score of 396.25 in the 1-meter diving prelim, finishing 15th to earn a spot in the consolation finals this evening.

How It Happened
Pierce took to the pool in heat three of four in the 200 back, swimming on the edge in lane nine. Pierce was 12th at the time of finishing with one heat left after her time of 2:01.47. The final heat pushed her down to 17th, one position and 0.08 seconds outside of the final qualifying time.
