MARQUETTE, Mich. - After defeating the Michigan Tech Huskies in the GLIAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday, the Wildcats punched its ticket to the next round, hosting the Davenport Panthers on Friday.

As the top seed in the conference, the Wildcats have earned the right to host the final four teams remaining in Marquette over the weekend.
The Grand Valley State Lakers and Saginaw Valley State Cardinals will play at 11 a.m. on Friday before the Wildcats take on the Davenport Panthers at 2 p.m.
The finals will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. featuring the winner of both matches.
This will be the year's third meeting between the Wildcats and the Panthers, and first time the two teams have ever met in the postseason. The first meeting this season came as a 3-0 win to the Wildcats at home, with goal scorers
Hannah Kastamo,
Allison Kroll, and
Brooke Pietila. The latter was a 0-1 loss on the road.

A Look at the Panthers
The Davenport Panthers defeated the Ferris State Bulldogs 1-0 in the GLIAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday, marking the first win in the GLIAC postseason and the first-ever victory against the Bulldogs in program history.
Haley Diekevers scored the lone goal for the Panthers, and netminder Elizabeth Wolter made a career-high 12 saves in the contest, doubling her next-closest career save total.
Arianna Diemer earned All-GLIAC Second Team honors as a defender, Haley Diekevers earned an All-GLIAC Second Team at-large nomination, and Gabby Scholten is a member of the GLIAC Honorable Mention squad.
