ROCHESTER, Mich.— Five Wildcats from the Northern Michigan University Track and Field team competed at the Oakland Last Chance Meet in Rochester, Michigan on Thursday (May 12), the final team meet of the season.
Sydney Romps competed first for the Wildcats as she raced in the 400m hurdles. Romps finished fourth in the event with a time of 1:06.04.
In the 800m race,
Hannah Jones finished third crossing the finish line at 2:18.65.
Izabelle Peterson competed in the 100m dash, running a 12.13 in the preliminaries. In the finals, Peterson took fifth finishing at 12:25.
Crystal Walker and
Ellyse Wolfrath both raced in the 100m hurdles. Walker ran a 14.21 to make it to the finals while Wolfrath ran a 15.39. Walker finished third in the finals with a time of 14:51.

Crystal Walker has hit the national qualifying mark of 14.21 in the 100m hurdles, running it in 13.91 where she is currently tied for 17th in the country.
