ALLENDALE, Mich. – Two members of the Northern Michigan track & field team competed at a pair of Last Chance Meets this weekend, completing their season. 

On Friday at the St. Francis Invite in Joliet, Illinois, Danielle Lund won the hammer throw with a distance of 52.92m. Beverly Harper also competed in the 800m, crossing at a time of 2:16.58. 

On Sunday, the Wildcats shifted to the Last Chance Meet at GVSU. Lund took fourth in the shot put (13.46m) and seventh in the hammer (43.43m). 

The weekend provided valuable experience against some of the top athletes in the country. The Wildcats will not qualify anyone for the NCAA Championships, brining their season to a close.
