MARQUETTE, Mich. -  The Wildcats return to the NMU Soccer Field this weekend for two pivotal GLIAC matchups. 

NMU will first host Davenport on Friday, October 7 at 3 p.m. The teams tied 1-1 two weeks ago in Caledonia. The Wildcats will then host #6 Grand Valley State on Sunday, October 9 at 1 p.m. Northern will look to avenge their 2-1 loss a few weeks back.

A Look at Davenport
Davenport is 2-2-3 in GLIAC play this season. They have scored 12 goals this season while allowing 15. Aida Holihan leads the Panthers with 5 points (2 goals, 1 assist).
 

A Look at #6 Grand Valley State
The Lakers are atop the GLIAC at 6-0-1 and 8-1-2 overall. They defeated the 'Cats 2-1 two weeks ago in Allendale. Their scoring margin is second-best to NMU at 27-8. 

Kennedy Bearden (6G, 6 A for 18 PTS) and Taylor Reid (6G) pace the Lakers' attack. 
 

A Look at the Wildcats
The Wildcats are 7-1-3 and 4-1-2 in conference clashes. NMU's34 goals and 96 points are tops in the GLIAC. 
 
Justina L'Esperance leads the league in goals with seven while Brooke Pietila is tied atop the leaderboard with six assists and 18 points. 
The Wildcats are amongst the best in the country at setting up their teammates, as they are 4th in total assists (28) and 5th in assists/game (2.55).
