  LAST TIME OUT

The Wildcats are coming off their first weekend sweep of the season following two victories over Northwood University, Feb. 6-7.

Max Bjorklund led the team in points on the weekend, posting a creer-high 30 points in game one before following it up with a 20-point performance the following afternoon, leading to GLIAC North Player of the Week honors.

  NMU VERSUS GRAND VALLEY

All-time, the Wildcats trail the Lakers with a 34-51 record in their historical series. Last year the two teams split their regular season series with each team taking the road contest.

In Allendale, Michigan least year, the Wildcat men upset then-11th ranked GVSU, 75-73.

In their last meeting, the Wildcats took the visiting Lakers to double overtime where they ultimately fell 82-79. Now a senior, Alec Fruin set up a last second chance in the second overtime session as he attempted a half court shot to knot things up again with 4.4 seconds to play. His shot hit the backboard and fell just wide of the rim for the final score.

  NMU VERSUS MICHIGAN TECH

The Wildcats lead the all-time series with their rival, 133-83, and are 3-2 against the Huskies since the start of the 2018-19 season.

The two teams previously met inside the PEIF basketball gym last month with NMU falling late to MTU, 61-52.

Dolapo Olayinka led the team in points that night as the only Wildcat to hit double-figures with his 20-point night. He also led the team in rebounds, coming just shy of the double-double with nine rebounded balls.
