2018-19: Appeared in 29 games with five starts. Scored a career-high 17 points at Purdue Northwest, hitting three three-pointers. Scored 10 points three times throughout the season. Recorded four assists against Purdue Northwest and Ferris State. Snagged six rebounds at Ferris State.

Before NMU: With 1,985 career points, Fruin leaves Turner High School as its all-time leading scorer. He was named the Rock Valley South Conference Player of the Year and earned a spot on the D3 all-state first team after averaging 27.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
