  LAST TIME OUT

The Wildcat men fell to rival Michigan Tech in their final regular season contest Thursday night. Alec Fruin led the team in points with 12 while Dolapo Olayinka was close behind with 11 of his own.

The contest would mark the final men's basketball game of the season to be played at the Berry Events Center.

  NMU VERSUS FERRIS STATE

Following their loss to MTU on Thursday, the Wildcat men awaited their postseason fate as the remaining conference games continued to play out.

The men clinched the eighth and final seed in the tournament after all was said and done across the league and will travel to top-seeded and 11th-ranked Ferris State University next week.

In two meetings this season, the Bulldogs came out on top but not without a fight from the NMU team. In their most recent meeting, the Wildcat men led by eight at the half but were unable to restrain the Bulldogs' offense in the second half, falling on a failed last second shot for three to tie things up.

All-time, NMU holds a 69-67 advantage over the downstate foe.
