LAST TIME OUT
|
The men posted two impressive victories on the road at Davenport and No. 11 Grand Valley State University to take the weekend sweep and improve to 10-9 on the season and 7-4 in the conference.
A tough road series against two of the GLIAC's powerhouses, on of the nation's best defensive teams once again showed how strong they can be. First defeating Davenport, 67-58, the men went on to snap an 11-game home win-streak for the ranked Lakers and the Wildcats have now won three in a row.
Myles Howard earned another double-double this season with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the win over Davenport Thursday.
Rookie Noah Parcher led the team in points in Saturday's contest when he tallied 16 points, including 75 percent (3-4) from beyond the arc in what turned into a three-point showdown among the Wildcats.
The team shot 48.1 percent in the 75-73 victory over the Lakers and sunk 14 three-point shots in the matchup, including five-straight to end the first half. NMU held on in the final few minutes of that contest as the Lakers pressured but were unable to crack the Wildcats defensive efforts and were handed their first loss at home of the season.

Myles Howard, Alec Fruin and Ben Wolf also posted over 10 points at Davenport while Marcus Matelski, Dolapo Olayinka and Noah Parcher all earned the feat on Saturday against GVSU.
Myles Howard's 14 points on Thursday night were a team best while he also picked up 12 rebounds for the double-double.
