Women's Soccer Drops Match at Parkside

KENOSHA, Wis. – Northern Michigan University Women's Soccer visited University of Wisconsin Parkside Sunday afternoon in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup but fell to the Rangers 1-0.

  STAT LEADERS

Senior Jamie Montgomery (Gaithersburg, Md.) led the Wildcat offensive attack with five shots. Sophomore Rachael Erste (Rockford, Mich.) added four shots and put two on goal.

Senior Gaelin Hirabayashi (Ijamsville, Md.) and sophomore Caroline Halonen (Hartland, Mich.) chipped in with two shots.

In goal, junior Brianna Frontuto  (Luxemburg, Wis.) finished the day with five saves.

  PLAYOFF PICTURE/UP NEXT

The Wildcats return to action Friday afternoon and will host rival Michigan Technological University in the final Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match of the year.

With a win, NMU will advance to the GLIAC Tournament. A tie or loss will finish the 2019 season.
