MIDLAND, Mich. — The Northern Michigan women's soccer team was downed by Northwood, 1-0, Friday afternoon at Dean Field.

The Timberwolves scored the game's lone goal in the 21st minute when Alyssa Cowper headed a Christina Medici corner kick past Caroline Glantz.

Glantz finished with three saves. Tabitha Boze, Gabriella Garza and Paula Hafner took a shot on goal.

Northern Michigan continues its road swing Sunday, taking on Saginaw Valley State at noon.
