MARQUETTE, Mich. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has named four members of the Northern Michigan men's basketball team to the 2026 Academic All-District Team, recognizing their combined success in the classroom and on the court.
Graduate students Dylan Kuehl, Jackson Dudek, and Sam Privet, along with redshirt junior Charlie Miller, represent a Wildcat program that continues to excel across all areas.
Kuehl, a native of Iron Ridge, Wisconsin, headlines the group after one of the most decorated seasons in program history. He was named the D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year, becoming the first Wildcat to earn the honor, while also being selected as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. Kuehl averaged 21.3 points per game while shooting 55.2% from the field and ranks second in program history with over 2,197 career points. He delivered a historic performance to close the regular season, scoring a career-high 41 points on 15-20 shooting to clinch the GLIAC regular-season title against Parkside. In the classroom, he holds a 3.65 GPA as a graduate student in Construction Management.
Dudek, from Kimberly, Wisconsin, earns his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District selection after another strong all-around campaign. A Second Team All-GLIAC honoree, he started all 35 games and averaged 11.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest. Dudek was highly efficient offensively, shooting 55.3% from the field and 41.9% from three-point range while knocking down 49 triples. He posted a career-high 29 points against Marian on Dec. 14. Off the court, Dudek maintains a 3.95 GPA as a graduate student in Financial Management.
Privet, a native of Caledonia, Minnesota, also secures his second straight CSC Academic All-District honor. A graduate student in Construction Management with a 3.66 GPA, he appeared in all 35 games and made an impact down the stretch, starting the final nine contests. He averaged 6.3 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting 53.5% from the floor. Privet recorded a season-high 16 points in a home win against Michigan Tech on Feb. 19, which marked his first start of the season.
Miller, a redshirt junior from Lumberton, North Carolina, rounds out the quartet. Majoring in Athletic Coaching with a 3.75 GPA, he played in all 35 games with 24 starts, averaging 6.6 points and 1.9 assists per game. Miller scored a season-best 17 points against Roosevelt on Dec. 6.
The CSC Academic All-District Team honors student-athletes who demonstrate excellence both academically and athletically, requiring significant on-court contributions and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50
