MARQUETTE, Mich. - Three members of the Northern Michigan men's basketball team have received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, announced on Tuesday. Those recognized were
Jackson Dudek,
Dylan Kuehl, and
Sam Privet.
Dudek holds a 3.72 GPA in Financial Management. He started in 14 games for the Wildcats down the stretch in which they went 10-4. He guided the Wildcats to a GLIAC Tournament title and was named the Tournament MVP after averaging 15.7 points while shooting 67.9% from the field over the three games, including a season-high 19 points against Lake Superior State in the title game. For the season, he averaged 8.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while shooting 53.7% from the floor.
Kuehl is majoring in Construction Management and has a 3.50 GPA. He was named to the NABC and D2CCA All-Midwest Second Teams. He also earned his third-consecutive spot on the All-GLIAC First Team and All-Defensive Team. He started all 32 games this season and shined in conference play as he was the only player to reach double figures in every GLIAC game, averaging 17.6 points over those 20 games. Overall, he averaged 16.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while shooting 49.7% from the field.
Also a Construction Management major, Privet has a 3.89 GPA. Privet also started all 32 games this past season. He finished second on the team with 9.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He scored in double figures in 15 games with a career-high 22 points against Illinois-Springfield on November 16. He also added an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double on November 30 vs. Concordia Wisconsin.
