Anika Wright ahead of swimming the 1000 Freestyle

Women's Swim and Dive Earn Three All-America Honors at NCAA Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NMU women's swim and dive team wrapped up day two of competition from the 2025 NCAA Championship.

Two athletes and one relay team earned Second Team All-America accolades, those being Anika Wright in the 1000 freestyle, Kalina Ceglinski in the 1-meter diving, and the 200 medley relay team of Camilla Carbone, Zoe DeKievit, Mia Strazny, and Becca Burrows.

Morning Session
The women's 1000 freestyle time trial began in the morning, starting with Geyer in heat two. Geyer swam a time of 10:11.73, sitting in 12th place before the final eight competed in the afternoon. After the final eight competed in the evening, Geyer would finish in 19th.

Wright swam in heat three, finishing second in her heat and 6th overall among the morning group with her time of 10:09.08. After the final eight competed in the evening, Wright would finish in 13th, earning a second team All-America honor.

Ceglinski advanced to the consolation final after scoring a 378.80 in the morning preliminary for the 1-meter diving, earning her a second team All-America honor. Ceglinski finished fourth in the consolation final with a score of 386.55, finishing 12th overall.

Evening Session
The night ended for the 'Cats with the 200 medley relay. The team of Carbone, DeKievit, Strazny, and Burrows placed 7th in their heat and 15th overall with a time of 1:42.59, earning themselves a second team All-America honor. Carbone led off the relay in the back (25.30), followed by DeKievit in the breaststroke (29.33), Strany in the fly (24.95), and anchored by Burrows in the free (23.01).

7:30 PM: Timed Finals for 200 Freestyle Relay - Burrows, Keen, Strazny, Curti (16th)

Saturday

10 AM: 200 Backstroke Prelims - Strazny (11th), Carbone (28th)
5:30 PM: Timed finals for 1650 Free - Wright (18th) and Geyer (23rd)
6:10 PM: Finals for 200 Backstroke (if advanced from prelims)
7:45 PM: Timed Finals for 400 Freestyle Relay - Wright, Geyer, Strazny, Carbone (18th)
