Kuehl doubles down on GLIAC honors

MARQUETTE, Mich. - The men's basketball All-GLIAC awards were announced by the league on Friday, with Dylan Kuehl named to the First Team and All-Defensive Team for the second straight season.

Following an appearance on the All-GLIAC First Team and All-Defensive Team as a redshirt freshman, Dylan Kuehl ran it right back in his sophomore campaign, earning the same accolades once again. He completed the regular season with 16.2 points/game, good for sixth in the conference. He also finished inside the top-10 with 188 made shots (2nd), 172 total rebounds (4th), and 29 blocks (5th). Kuehl also made over half of his shot attempts, going 50.5% from the floor.

Kuehl recorded four double-doubles on the season including a dominant 30-point, 10-rebound, and six block performance against Saginaw Valley State. He now has 11 career double-doubles. In the most recent GLIAC quarterfinal win over Purdue Northwest, he led NMU with 27 points. In his two seasons, Kuehl has already racked up 916 points, 398 rebounds, 113 assists, and 68 blocks over 63 games.
