GLIAC -The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 10 action of the 2023 women's soccer season... Northern Michigan redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jillian Thompson was honored as GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Jillian Thompson earned her GLIAC-leading 12th win and shutout on Thursday in a 1-0 victory against Michigan Tech, helping guide the Wildcats to the GLIAC regular-season title for the first time in program history. The redshirt freshman posted the best game of her career, as she made a career-high seven saves in the match. Not only are her 12 shutouts leading the GLIAC, but the mark is T2 nationally across D2 women's soccer, one behind the leader.
