MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Northern Michigan University men's basketball team is headed south after a 2-0 homestand. Hammond, Indiana is home to the Wildcats' weekend Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series against Purdue University Northwest.
Tip-off for the first game is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26. The second game will begin at 4 p.m. the following day.

The men's team most recently swept a two-game series with Davenport University which opened with a 100-70 win for NMU. The second game was a closer affair with the Wildcats winning 66-54.
Max Bjorklund was the top scorer in game one with 29 points. Ben Wolf had an impressive outing in the second game, going 6-6 from the field for a team-high 13 points.

NMU VERSUS NORTHWOOD

NMU holds a 5-1 overall record over the Pride. The Wildcats split the regular-season series with PNW last year. Each team earned a road win.
In Westville, Indiana last year, NMU took down the Pride with a score of 81-67.
Their final meeting in 2020 was a close contest that saw PNW prevail 65-62 in overtime. Justin Kuehl scored his first-career three-pointer in the game and earned a career-high of 16 points.
