Box Score MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan men's basketball played host to Concordia University- Wisconsin Falcons in a non-conference matchup to start out a three game homestand. 

With a final score of 102-65, NMU grabbed their highest scoring game since Dec. 6, 2018 when they beat Purdue Northwest 108-69. 

STAT LEADERS

Senior guard Max Bjorklund led the 'Cats with a total of 20 points, shooting 71-percent from the field and 85-percent from the free throw line. 

Junior Ben Wolf controlled the glass throughout the whole game, grabbing a team high nine rebounds. 

FIRST HALF 

The game started out slow for both sides but Northern found a rhythm at the 15 minute mark, dropping shot after shot beyond the arch to bring their total to 29-12 halfway through the first.

NMU continued to dominate from behind the arch pushing the score to 50-27 with just under 3 minutes to play.

Northern controlled the glass, out rebounding CUW 18-15. 

The Wildcats held the lead for over 16 minutes, enroute to a commanding first half that saw NMU head to the locker room, leading 56 to the Falcon's 29. 

AT THE HALF

Bjorklund led the 'Cats with 17 points, shooting 100-percent from three point land, and 66-percent from the field. 

Wolf had a team high six rebounds, five of them coming on defense.  

NMU shot 57.6-percent from the field, and 58.8-percent from behind the arch.

 SECOND HALF

The second half started out much like the first, as graduate student Nick Wagner dropped a three pointer from the corner. 

NMU continued to out rebound Concordia, controlling the glass on both sides of the court. 

Junior guard Connor Kasperbauer drilled a three from the top of the arch to put the 'Cats into triple digits. 

Northern dominated the entire second half, bringing the final score to (102-65).

UP NEXT

After Sunday's contest, NMU stays home as they are set to host St. Cloud State University (2-2, 0-0 NSIC) Saturday, Nov. 27th at 12pm. This will be the first matchup between the two programs, SCSU comes into the matchup ranked in the top 15 for field goal percentage among all NCAA Division II teams.
