  LAST TIME OUT

The men are coming off a tough road trip downstate where they fell at the hands of Saginaw Valley State and Northwood in two close matchups.

After trailing 18 points at the half against the Cardinals, the men managed to tie things up behind a 21-3 run to start the second half, however, the Cardinals offense pulled away in the waning minutes to snap the Wildcats' three-game win-streak.

NMU fought to get back in the win column at Northwood but were unable to overtake the Timberwolves late and fell 76-64 behind a double-double performance by Dolapo Olayinka and Sam Taylor's 1,000th career point.

  GETTING CLOSER TO A RECORD

Myles Howard's six blocks on the weekend brings his career total to 210 blocked shots. He now sits just two away from the school record and three from clinching sole possession of the record.

  HITTING 1,000

Sam Taylor sunk his 1,000th career point with 7:32 to go in Saturday's game when he made a layup to pull the Wildcats closer to overtaking the lead.

The senior guard became just the 33rd individual in school history to eclipse the 1,000 career points mark.

  NMU VERSUS PARKSIDE

Earlier this season the men dropped a battle at Parkside, 78-60. Sam Taylor had a career weekend with 17 points at Parkside to bring his weekend total to 40, leading the team in points both nights.

The team is 1-2 all-time with the Rangers.

  NMU VERSUS PURDUE NORTHWEST

The men posted their second-highest point total at Purdue Northwest in January as they rolled to an 81-67 victory in Indiana. Sam Taylor tallied 23 points in the victory to lead the team while Myles Howard got closer to the school career record with six blocks on the night.

Four men earned double digit points, including Troy Summers off the bench giving the Wildcats 21.

All-time, the men are undefeated against Purdue Northwest, owning a 5-0 record.
