INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Northern Michigan University Swim and Dive Teams concluded their fourth and final day of NCAA Division II Championships with eight individuals and a relay gaining points.

ALL-AMERICANS
|
The 200-yard Backstroke saw three All-American honors for the Wildcats. Junior Rachel Helm (Newcastle, England) finished third with a time of 1:55.79, while senior Savanna Saunders (Manchester, England) touched at 1:59.73 to earn sixth.
Senior Renars Bundzis (Riga, Latvia) finished fourth for the men with a time of 1:43.91.

HONORARY ALL-AMERICANS
|
Sophomore Lena Soulas (London, England) took 16th in the 100-yard Freestyle with a time of 50.77. Soulas had tied for 16th in the preliminaries, and did a swim-off and won to ultimately earn her spot in the B Final. Junior Lajos Budai (Kecskemet, Hungary) swam the men's 100-yard Freestyle and touched the wall at 44.58 for 15th.

FINAL DIVES
|
All three of NMU's women divers scored points on the 3-Meter board. Freshman Mary Grossman (Goshen, Ind.) led, finishing 10th with 445.15 points. Senior Angela Probstfeld (White Lake, Mich.) took 13th with 424.55 points, while junior Jamie Kimble (Prior Lake, Minn.) claimed 16th with 415.95 points.
Each diver was named Honorary All-American.

ADDITIONAL SWIMS

Senior Regan Kilburn (Muscatine, Iowa) swam the 200-yard Backstroke, finishing with a time of 2:02.57. In the men's 200-yard Backstroke senior Ryan Leonard (South Wales, Australia) touched the wall at 1:49.14. Senior Arnoldo Herrera (Heredia, Costa Rica) swam the 200-yard Breaststroke and finished at 2:01.33

THE RELAY
|
The women's team participated in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, with a team of Helm, sophomore Margaret Vaitkus (Munster, Ind.), Kilburn, and Soulas, finishing 16th with a time of 3:28.37.

TEAM RESULTS
|
The women's team finished the meet in 14th place with 99 points. The men's team placed 18th with 65 points.

CLOSING THE SEASON
|
Tonight finished the 2018-19 season for the Wildcat Swim and Dive teams. The women end the season with four individual All-American honors, seven individual Honorary All-Americans, and three Honorary All-American relays. The men end the season with three individual All-American honors, four individual Honorary All-Americans, and two Honorary All-American relays.
