Project Goal
The renovation project aims to collect $10,000 to finance essential upgrades and improvements to the common area and gathering space for players, coaches and staff. The upgrades include built-in kitchen cabinets and shelving, an extra-large refrigerator for the players' meals, snacks and drinks, and a microwave, coffee and tea station. New NMU decals, a wall mural and a green LED light feature showing the Upper Peninsula and Wildcat logo will be added to the area to complete the space. The work is scheduled to begin during the summer and is expected to be completed by August 2024.
Team Impact
The locker room is the place that sets the foundation for team success. From recruiting to coaching to player performance, the locker room is where relationships and team chemistry are formed that drive winning programs to be champions.
After winning the GLIAC Women's Soccer championship and regular season titles for the first time in program history, Coach Sandoval knows that to continue the program's success, he must elevate the team's facilities. The planned renovations to the space will help continue the team's winning ways and instill lasting pride among former players, student-athletes and fans.
