Matthew Argentina Signs ECHL Contract with Iowa Heartlanders

MARQUETTE, Mich. -- The Iowa Heartlanders, proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, have signed forward Matthew Argentina to an ECHL contract.

Argentina skated for Boston College (2021-23) and Northern Michigan (2024-26) over four collegiate seasons, where he played in 103 collegiate games while scoring 10 goals, 14 assists, and 24 points on 124 shots.

In 2025-26 final season with NMU, Argentina put up career-bests in games played, goals, assists, points, shots, power play goals, blocks, and faceoff wins.

Argentina joins Caiden Gault (Greenville Swamp Rabits, ECHL), Tynan Ewart (Maine Mariners, ECHL), and Kyle Bettens (Indy Fuel, ECHL) as Wildcats from the 2025/26 roster to sign professional contracts.

Gault has two gaols and five points in 11 games with Greenville, Ewart has appeared in 12 games as a defenseman for Maine.
