Football
The 'Cats return home and welcome Division 1 FCS opponent St. Thomas to the Superior Dome, and will mark the first time in program history that the Wildcats and Tommies will meet on a football field. The Tommies are 1-1 to start their season, defeating (RV) Lindenwood 35-13 and falling to No. 11 Idaho 30-37.

Volleyball
After the opening SpringHill Suites invitational in Florida, the Wildcats have a slightly shorter road trip for the next tournament, traveling to St. Cloud, Minnesota to compete in the Huskies Volleyball Classic. The 'Cats play four matches in three days, including clashes with Barry, Adelphi, St. Cloud, and Minnesota Duluth. The 'Cats have a challenge on their hands, as Barry, Adelphi, and St. Cloud all had 23+ wins and NCAA Tournament appearances last season, with the Huskies advancing to the Sweet Sixteen.

Women's Soccer
The Wildcats round out the non-conference slate with two more matches at home, hosting Northwood and Cedarville. The Timberwolves are 1-0 to start 2025 after an impressive 2024 that produced a 13-3-5 record and G-MAC Championship appearance. The Yellow Jackets are 1-1 to start their season, with a win over Ferris State and a 3-2 loss to Grand Valley after producing a 2-1 halftime lead.

Men's Soccer
The 'Cats have its longest road trip of the season this weekend, traveling to Illinois and Ohio to take on Lewis and Lake Erie. Lewis, who went 11-3-8 with an NCAA Tournament appearance and GLVC Championship in 2024, played the 'Cats to a 2-2 draw in Marquette last season. NMU has only played Lake Erie three times in program history: twice in the inaugural season of NMU men's soccer, and once in 2019. After an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2023, the Storm lost in penalties in the first round of the G-MAC Tournament in 2024.
