SVSU Women's Spring Invite Canceled due to Weather

GEORGETOWN, KY. - The SVSU Women's Spring Invitational golf tournament was canceled after half a round due to inclement weather.

Team's finished anywhere from 11 to 16 holes before tournament staff canceled the first round. The rest of the tournament was called off on Sunday morning, and everyone headed home early.

As a team, the 'Cats were T6 of 13 at +34. No. 35 Tiffin was first at +13, followed by Davenport at +21 and Purdue NW at +24.

The whole Wildcat team completed 13 holes of play before the tournament was cut short. Both Abbie Pietila and Maggie Pietila led the team at +7, followed by Hailey Bolander and Maddy Martens at +10.

Olivia Brill was fifth on team scoring at +17, and individuals Gabriella Moreau and Abby Luke shot +13 and +17, respectively.

NMU now looks ahead to the end of March and beginning of April, when the team travels to Wheaton, Illinois for the Flyer Spring Invite at the Cantigny Golf Club from March 31 to April 1.
