Martens led the way for the Wildcats through 36 holes, finishing 14th with her two-round total of +16. Starting on hole six, Martens opened her day four over in her first four holes before putting together a stretch of 10 holes that saw her shoot -1, and even through 12 holes, including birdies on the par five 11th and par four 17th, finishing with a round one 78 (+6) which included a -1 35 on the back nine. Martens carded her third birdie of the tournament on the par four 15th, but would add four strokes to her round one score, carding a +10 (82) in round two. Martens' 21 pars was good enough for T4 on the field, only four back of the lead.

Donnelly and Pietila both turned in two-round scores of +20, finishing T24 after 36 holes of action. Donnelly ended the first round with a birdie in her last four holes, the par five fifth, before ending her second round with an impressive twelve-hole stretch that featured birdies on the par four 16th and par five 3rd and nine pars, ending the second round -1 in her final 12 holes en route to shoot the best score in round two on the team. Pietila opened with a round of 83 (+11) that included a birdie on the par four sixth before shaving two strokes off her first round score in the second 18 holes. Pietila found success on the sixth in the second round as well, carding another birdie.

Aavra Relich (+36) rounded out the team scoring for the Wildcats in both rounds. After an opening 93 (+21), Relich shaved off six strokes in the second round, carding an 87 (+15) with four pars in her final six holes. Olivia Brill rounded out the 'Cats in the field, shooting matching rounds of 95 to finish with a two-round score of +46.

As a team, the Wildcats sat ten strokes above Lewis (B) at +102, and within striking distance of Upper Iowa (+87) and Quincy (+84). Host Lewis (+25) and Davenport (+37) paced the field, followed by William Jewell (+64).

Kyra Simon and Sophia Lawler (+4) of Lewis paced the individual field, followed by Davenport's Venetia Chap (+5), thanks to her second-round 70 (-2), the best 18-hole score turned in at the tournament.

The 'Cats will conclude the tournament tomorrow, playing 18-holes to conclude. Stay tuned to the NMU Golf social media channels and the NMU Athletics website for an update on tee times.
