MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan's Jacy Weisbrod has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Confernce (GLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 33 points in NMU's 83-77 victory over Northwood on Dec. 17.

Weisbrod buried four of her eight triples in the first five minutes to get the Wildcats going and knocked down eight overall, just one shy of her career best and the program record. She finished 12-23 (52.2%) from the field and 8-16 (50.0%) from beyond the arc, scoring 15 points in the first quarter to spark NMU's strong start and adding 10 more in the fourth to help seal the win. She leads the nation with 3.92 made threes per game and 47 overall. The senior also paces the conference with 18.7 points per game. 

The La Crosse, Wisconsin native has played a key role in NMU's 11-1 start that has them ranked No. 14 in the country.
