PREVIEW: Three-Day ‘Calvin Invite’ on the Horizon for Swim & Dive

MARQUETTE, Mich. -- The NMU swim and dive teams are on the road for a three-day invite, traveling to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to compete in the Calvin Invite.

The three-day meet will take place from Thursday, December 4, to Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Venema Aquatic Center on the campus of Calvin College. Each day will have morning qualifiers at 10 a.m. before the evening finals at 6 p.m., with an exception on Saturday, where the finals will start at 4 p.m. 

All three days will be live streamed on the Calvin Athletics YouTube page, and can be found here. Fans can also follow along with live results on the mobile app, Meet Mobile. 

The field includes DII foes Grand Valley State and Findlay, DIII opponents Calvin and Lawrence, and NAIA program Indiana Wesleyan. The men's team currently holds the #8 swim and #10 dive teams, and the women holds the #10 swim and #5 dive teams. 

On the men's side, GVSU holds the #4-ranked swim and #2-ranked dive teams, Findlay holds the #10-ranked swim and #21-ranked dive teams, and host Calvin is the 10th-ranked team in Division III. Lawrence is unranked, and Indiana Wesleyan is the #10 program among NAIA programs. 

On the women's side, GVSU lays claim to the #4-ranked swim and #2-ranked dive teams, Findlay holds the 11th-ranked swim team, and host Calvin is the #17-ranked team in Division III. Lawrence is unranked, while Indiana Wesleyan is the #10-ranked team in the NAIA rankings.
