MARQUETTE, Mich. - Following a historic rushing attack from the Northern Michigan football team this past Saturday, Noah Dobert has been named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Dobert delivered a career performance in Northern Michigan's 42-21 win over Roosevelt, rushing for 243 yards and three touchdowns as the Wildcats shattered their single-game rushing record with 538 yards on the ground, surpassing the previous mark of 477 set in 1959 vs. UW-Milwaukee. He opened his scoring midway through the second quarter with a 10-yard touchdown and later added two more in the fourth, including a short-yardage plunge that sealed the victory. He averaged nearly 6.1 yards per carry on 40 attempts, with the ability to both grind out tough yards and break open big runs. His vision and acceleration through contact consistently moved the chains, helping Northern control possession for over 38 minutes.

Teaming up with Jahi Wood, who added 233 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries, the pair became only the seventh duo in Division II history to each surpass 200 rushing yards in the same game. Together, they combined for five of the six touchdowns and 476 of the team's 538 rushing yards, spearheading one of the most dominant ground attacks in college football history. Dobert's three-touchdown performance in a historic showing on the ground earned him his first GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Dobert and the Wildcats are back home for one of the most anticipated games of the season this coming Saturday, the Miner's Cup rivalry against Michigan Tech. The annual battle for the cup will kick off at 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, inside the Superior Dome.
