MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Wildcats were nationals bound last week where they took on 59 other teams across the country. The 'Cats finished the week at 15th, with plenty of All-American accolades and school records broken with stellar performances.

The first night opened with the 800 Free Relay on Tuesday where the 'Cats earned Second-Team All-American Honors.
Jef Leroux,
Wyatt Dickman,
Gabriel Fulconi and
Leo Nolles found 12th place with a final time of 6:34.45 and helped secure the team in the same placement by the end of the day.
Day two saw multiple All-American finishes with the first coming from Dickman in the 200 IM. His 12th place finish with a time of 1:47.44 landed him Second-Team All-American honors.
Leo Nolles earned his own Second-Team All-American honors for the 50 Free after his 12th place finish with a final time of 19.77.
Tobie Stiles was next up for his 1-meter dive where he earned his own Second-Team honors after gaining 392.45 points. One last All-American finish came from the 200 Medley Relay team of
Thibault Auger, Dickman,
Ryan Lund and Nolles for Second-Team with their 15th place finish and a final time of 1:27.64. The 'Cats finished out the day in 16th place as a whole.
Day three was another successful one as the meet started out with
Daniel Lopez Aponte placed sixth in the 400 IM with a time of 3:51.09, breaking a school record and earning First-Team All-American honors. Along with that came the accomplishment of the 400 Medley Relay team of Auger, Dickman, Lund and Nolles, who broke a school record with a time of 3:13.78. The relay team also finished 18th and only .02 seconds behind 17th place. Northern Michigan finalized day three with 16th place out of 32 teams with 38 points.
The team was still in high spirits for day four as Dickman broke the school record for the 100 Breaststroke with his time of 53.85 in the prelims in the morning. That afternoon, he placed 14th in the event and earned Second-Team All-American honors with a time of 54.08.
Tobie Stiles was back at it again as he earned Second-Team All-American honors in the 3-meter dive after placing 11th for his 468 points in the finals. As for the 200 Free Relay team,
William LaCount, Leroux, Fulconi and Nolles also set a school record and earned Second-Team All-American honors for their time of 1:19.04 and ninth place finish. The team maintained 16th place at the end of day four with 65 points and trailed Clarion by six.
The competition wrapped up with Nolles placing 12th in the 100 yard Freestyle and earning Second-Team All-American status. Following this was LaCount, Leroux, Fulconi and Nolles placing sixth in the 400 Free Relay to earn First-Team All-American honors and breaking yet another school record with a time of 2:54.26, just .13 second behind Grand Valley's fifth place finish. The Wildcats finished out the meet in 15th place out of 59 total teams with a final 96 points.
