LEXINGTON, KY. - The NMU men's golf team finished competition from Kearney Hill Golf Links at the SVSU Spring invite with a 14th place finish, one spot below where they were after round one.
As a team, the 'Cats shot a +17 (305 strokes), bringing their weekend total to +24 (600), finishing four shots behind Kentucky State University, and one ahead of host Saginaw Valley.
Over the weekend, the 'Cats played the par 3's at +27 (3.68 avg), the par 4's at +27 (4.27), and were dominant on the par 5's, playing those fifth best among the field at -18 (4.55 avg).
The 'Cats fired home 97 pars, 24 birdies, and second most eagles with three.

Eric Yun followed up his first round of 72 with a round of 74, finishing +2 (146) through two rounds and T23 individually. Yun recorded three birdies, two on par 4's and one on the par 5 seventh, along with eagleing the 18th for the second time this weekend. Yun played the par 4's even (sixth best among individuals), the par 5's at -4 (four strokes back from the leader), and his two eagles were second-best among the field.
Russel Sprecher was next, shooting rounds of 73 and 77 for a weekend total of 150 to finish T49. Sprecher recorded a team-high six birdies, the second most pars (20), and played the par 5's at -2 over the weekend.
Tyler Annala (+8: 74, 78 - 152) and
Arthur Ylitalo (+9: 77, 76 - 153) were next for the 'Cats in T65 and T75, respectfully. Both Annala and Arthur played the par 5's at four under, Arthur matched Sprecher's 20 pars, and Annala matched Sprechers six birdies. Arthur also eagled the par five third.
Walter Ylitalo (+11: 76, 79 - 155) and
Brady Badker (+11: 76, 79 - 155) rounded out the 'Cats at T88.
