LEXINGTON, KY. - The NMU men's golf team sits in 13th through 18 holes at te SVSU Spring Invitational.
As a team, the Wildcats shot a +7 295, shooting the par 3's at +16 (3.80 avg.), the par 4's at +7 (4.14), and the par 5's at -11 (4.45), playing the par 5's third-best among the field. The team pulled in 51 pars, 15 birdies, and an eagle.
Eric Yun led the way with an even round of 72, sitting T24 individually while shooting 37 on the front and 35 on the back. Yun finished his round birdieing the 427 yard par 4 before eagleing the 529 yard par 5, shooting his last six holes at -3. Yun's 14 pars were third-best among the field.
Russel Sprecher was next at +1, one stroke back of Yun, shooting 37 on the front and 36 on the back with two birdies on each side for four total.
Tyler Annala finished his day at +2, followed by
Walter Ylitalo at +4, and
Arthur Ylitalo at +5.
Brady Badker played individually, shooting a +4.
