HOLLAND, Mich. - The Wildcats wrapped up competition at the GLIAC Championships today, and maintained their position from day three to finish second place overall with 617.5 points, trailing only Grand Valley State (915 points), and ahead of Wayne State (594.5 points) in third.
Sophomore
William LaCount earned a medal in the 100 free, posting a time of 43.95 to finish third place, earn a DII B-Cut, and 16 team points. Right behind him was junior
Jef Leroux in fourth with a time of 44.46, earning himself a B-Cut and 15 team points.
Junior
Wyatt Dickman found the podium in the 200 breaststroke, claiming bronze with his time of 1:19.01. The result earned him a DII B-Cut along with 16 points.
The 400 free relay team of LaCount, Leroux,
Alessandro Rosatelli, and
Gabriel Fulconi finished one place outside a podium spot with their time of 3:00.28, claiming 30 team spots.
Fifth-year
Erikas Kapocius was the highest finishing 'Cat in the 200 back, finishing seventh to earn 12 points.
