GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The NMU men's swim and dive team wrapped up day one from the Calvin College Winter Invite this afternoon, with the team sitting second of five teams.

After day one of three, NMU amassed 490.5 points, only behind Grand Valley with 647, and ahead of Calvin University with 435.

The Wildcats found podium positions five times in five different events, including seven separate student-athletes hitting NCAA D2-B Qualifying Standards.

Leo Nolles claimed the only NMU individual gold in the 50 free, along with anchoring both the 2nd place 200 free relay and 4th place 400 medley relay teams. 

Daniel Lopez Aponte finished second in the 200 IM after he shaved 2:51 from his qualifying time he swam in the morning to qualify for the A finals.
