SPIRIT MOUNTAIN, Minn. - The NMU Alpine team capped off a successful weekend with five more podium spots; the women swept the podium, and the men took the top two.
Reagan Olli led the way for the women in first, followed by
Ella Wichert and
Ainsley Kirk in second and third.
Aaron Grzelak led the way for the men in first, followed by
Brad Seaborg in second.
Women's Runs
Olli (39.61, 38.55 - 1:18.16) claimed her second-straight Slalom gold and third-consecutive podium finish. Olli led the field after her first run, and posted the second-fastest time among second runs.
Wichert (40.06, 39.13 - 1:19.19) found her second-straight silver medal in the Slalom, controlling second place after sitting in second place after her first run. Wichert now has three podium spots on the season (two silver, one bronze).
Kirk (40.98, 38.59 - 1:19.57) found her first podium of the season with her third-place finish, posting the third-fastest run times in both the first and second run.
The 'Cats controlled spots four and five with
Emily Creek (1:21.04) and
Jacey Johnson (1:21.54), and
Erin Hoelzel (1:23.78) rounded out the top 10.

Men's Runs
Grzelak (34.86, 34.49 - 1.09.35) found his second gold medal of the year and third-consecutive podium finish in the slalom. After leading the field by two seconds after his first run, Grzelak maintained his lead and claimed gold by two seconds over Seaborg.
Seaborg (36.79, 34.98 - 1:11.77), after claiming gold yesterday, found his third podium of the year with his performance. Grzelak was the only skier to post faster runs than Seaborg in both results.
Reed Heathman (1:14.08) and
Will Blackmer (1:14.11) were next for the 'Cats in fourth and fifth, with
Connor Abraham (1:14.83) in eighth place to round out the 'Cats in the top 10.
Andrew Truman and
Mitchell Forsberg finished 13th and 14th.
Nathan Dehart claimed 17th, and
Colin Dehart rounded out the 'Cats in 41st.
