SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- The Northern Michigan University lacrosse team held a 13-11 lead after three quarters at Notre Dame College on Friday (March 11) before the game was called for snow. The Wildcats were victorious and improved to 5-2 on the season.
A 5-3 edge in the first quarter proved to be the difference, as the teams battled even in quarters number two and three.
Madeline Bittell had a career best six goals for the Green and Gold. She also added an assist for a seven-point outing.
Bittell scored six of the team's first seven goals, all in the first half of action. Northern had two runs in the game of scoring three straight, while the Falcons had one run in quarters two and three of scoring three straight.
Emily Renfrew also added a pair of goals for Northern while five others found the back of the net.
