MARQUETTE, Mich. - Five members of the Northern Michigan University National Training Site weightlifting team are ready to begin competition at three different events spanning three different continents this weekend. 


Junior Pan American Championships - Lima, Peru
On Saturday, October 22 to Sunday, October 23, Ryland Shriver, Avery Owens, and Sarah Uschmann will be at the Junior Pan American Championships in Lima, Peru. Owens will compete on Saturday at 3 p.m. EST in the 87kg A Session. On Sunday at 11 a.m. EST, Shriver will contest the 109kg A Session and Uschmann will compete in the 87kg+ A Session.

European Junior Weightlifting Championships - Durres, Albania
Across the Atlantic Ocean and into the Mediterranean Sea, Lenka Zembova will be lifting at the European Junior Weightlifting Championships in Durres, Albania. Zembova will lift at 6 p.m. EST on Saturday, October 22 in the 81kg A Session.

FISU America Games - Merida, Mexico
Will Heller will be visiting the United States' southern neighbor as he takes part in the FISU American Games in Merida, Mexico. Heller will be in competition on Sunday, October 23 as he is set to lift in the 96kg A Session at 6 p.m. EST.
