MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Wildcats of Northern Michigan University women's lacrosse finish the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) regular season with a two-game series at Davenport University this weekend.
Game one takes place on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and the second will be Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Wildcats dropped the final home games of 2021 to Grand Valley State University in GLIAC play last weekend.
In the first game, a 19-9 GVSU win, Jessica Daniels had a team-high four goals while Kaitlyn Bridger, Emily Renfrew, Madeline Bittell, Katelyn Mongold, and Clara Johnson added one each.
NMU fell 18-6 in the second contest. The Wildcats celebrated seniors Tess Kostelec, Nicole Smith, and Shannon Walus before the game. Kostelec tied the team-high in goals for the Wildcats with Bridger, and Mongold who all had two each.

Bittell and Renfrew remain tied for the No.1 spot in the GLIAC in shots with 66 each. Renfrew is third in goals (31) and fifth in points (38) while Bittell is tied for second in assists (15) and is fourth in points (42).
Goalie Cam Stilson is second in the conference in saves (82).

NMU lacrosse is 1-3 all-time against the Panthers. The Wildcats and Davenport have not played each other since 2019. The Panthers earned wins in both of the contests that season.
