Box Score ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Wildcats of the Northern Michigan University men's soccer team were able to notch a goal against St. Cloud State University but fell 3-1 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action on the road.

CREATING OPPORTUNITY |
In the opening half of action, the Wildcats and Huskies were even in shots on goal with both teams taking three shots on target.
For NMU it was Ryan Palmbaum, Cian Tunney, and Kaffie Kurz who took the shots on goal. Kurz led those three and the team with two total shots in the first half.
Rayan Hassen and Keegan Schmidt each added one shot for the Wildcats in the half.
Goalkeeper Jonas Vorbau held steady in the net as he saved all three shots that came his way.

SECOND HALF |
Between the 49th and 53rd minute, the home team scored two goals.
The 'Cats fought their way right back into the match as Ryan Palmbaum scored a goal for NMU in the 56th minute.
A free-kick from the Wildcats and some savvy passing sent the ball to the far left side of the box.
A pass found Palmbaum 16-yards out from the net. The midfielder kicked the ball in for the NMU goal.
Only one more goal was scored in the match and it was for the Huskies who won 3-1.

Ryan Palmbaum had a team-high three shots and two shots on goal for the visiting Wildcats. Cian Tunney and Kaffie Kurz were next for NMU as they each tallied two shots and one shot on target.
Niko Scheibal also took a shot on goal for the Wildcats in the match. Rayan Hassen, Brady Kronenburg, and Keegan Schmidt each added one total shot to the NMU effort.
Jonas Vorbau had six saves for the Wildcats in 71 minutes as the NMU goalkeeper. With a little over 18 minutes to play, Alex Weaver took over in goal for the 'Cats and tallied one shot.
