The women swept their weekend series against Parkside and Purdue Northwest to improve to 8-2 on the season at home and remain in third place in the GLIAC North Division.
The women opened the weekend with a nail-biting 60-55 victory over the Parkside Rangers before coming back Saturday afternoon to take a 57-53 win over PNW.
Jessica Schultz said a personal best 36 points in Saturday's victory, adding to her already impressive 23 points on Thursday for 59 on the weekend.
In their win over Parkside, the women shot 47.8 percent from the field and picked up 38 rebounds to hold the lead late.
They turned around Saturday night with a 46.9 percent shooting performance while Schultz went 17 of 22 for a career high.

CAREER NIGHT
|
Having eclipsed 1,000 points in January, Jessica Schultz has been sinking shots left and right to add to her illustrious career total. She has now scored 20 or more points in her last four games and boast 1,161 total career points, ranked 20th in program history.
Last weekend she recorded her first ever game of plus-30 points when she tallied 36 against the Pride at home. In total last weekend, she posted 59 total points while adding six blocks and 16 rebounds.
Sinking 17 of 22 shots on Saturday, it was her highest career percentage when attempting at least five shots. She was also perfect from the line, with two free throws made.

NMU VERSUS LAKE STATE
|
The Wildcats are undefeated in their last 12 games against the Lakers and are 59-36 all-time.
Last month the women defeated the Lakers at home, 72-39.

NMU VERSUS FERRIS STATE
|
Earlier this season, Jessica Schultz hit her 1,000th career point when Ferris State traveled to the Berry Events Center (January 16).
All-time the Wildcat women boast a 52-30 edge over the Bulldogs, having dropped their contest against FSU, 66-60, last month.
