Biography

2012:  Lettered for the third time after appearing in all 32 matches and 124 sets. GLIAC First Team selection. Named the team’s Most Valuable Player. Led the team with 379 kills, finishing ninth in the GLIAC with a 3.06 average per set. Led the team with 45 service aces and was second with 312 digs. Tallied double digit kills in 22 matches with a season-high 21 kills at Findlay (Sept. 29). Had a career-high 22 digs at Ashland (Sept. 22). Recorded four service aces in three matches. Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.

2011:  Lettered for the second time after appearing in 27 matches and 97 sets. Named GLIAC Honorable Mention. Collected 240 kills and ranked second in digs with 220. Led the Wildcats in service aces with 38. Also posted 22 assists and 23 total blocks. Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence team. Had double digit kills in 11 matches with a career-high 24 kills vs. Ferris State (Sept. 11). Had a career-high six service aces vs. Tiffin (Oct. 8). Had 19 digs at Ferris State (Oct. 23).

2010:  Lettered for the first time after appearing in 29 matches and 108 sets. Earned Midwest Region “Freshman of the Year” by the AVCA. GLIAC Freshman of the Year and GLIAC First Team All-Conference. All-tournament selection at the NCAA Midwest Regional and Wildcat Open. Led the Wildcats in kills (329), digs (323) and service aces (50). Also posted 33 assists and 35 total blocks on the season. Had double digit kills in 16 matches, including a season-high 23 vs. UW-Parkside (Sept. 2) and Winona State (Sept. 3). Had five service aces vs. Rockhurst (Oct. 15), vs. Ferris State (Oct. 22) and at Lake Superior State (Oct. 30). Recorded double digit dig totals in 20 matches, including a season-high 20 at Grand Valley (Sept. 12).

Before NMU:  Lettered three times at Magnum Agastiniano under Guilherme Heli de Abreu. Played outside. MVP in 2007. Team won scholar championship in 2006 and 2007. Played for Olympic Club for eight years. Team won Campeonato Metropoliteno and Campeonato Estadual in 2009.

Personal:  Likes watching TV and working out. Majoring in international studies. Daughter of Antonia Ferreira de Araijo and Roberio de Araujo Lopes. Born on November 12, 1991.
