- Grandfather Tony Esposito - goalie for the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL from 1969-1984, enriched in the NHL hall of fame, a three-time Vezina Trophy winner and Calder Trophy winner, along with goaltender for Michigan Tech from 1964-1967
- Father Mark Esposito - played hockey at Kent State
