Kamryn Duffield

Kamryn Duffield was added to the volleyball staff as an Assistant Coach in July of 2023. Duffield graduated in December of 2022 from Wayne State with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a dual minor in Design and Sports Management. 

Duffield was a four-year setter for the Wayne State volleyball team from 2018-2022. She was a four-year captain for the Warriors and achieved several accolades and career highlights including:

  • Five-time All-GLIAC Honoree: 2018 Honorable Mention, 2019 Second Team, 2020-21 Second Team, 2021 First Team, and 2022 Second Team
  • Two-time Midwest Regional Crossover All Tournament Team Member (2019 & 2022)
  • Two-time Player of the Week Honors (2021 & 2022)
  • Holds WSU career assist record in the modern era (4,814)
  • Second all-time at WSU in career assists per set (10.22)
  • Holds program record for assists in a single match (71)
  • Sixth all-time in career service aces (112)
  • Eighth all-time in career digs (1037)

For the past five years, Duffield has also coached at Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy in Pontiac, Michigan. She has assisted at the national level from 2021-2023 and assisted the 16 Mizuno team (along with head coach Neil Rucinski) to a 2nd Place finish of the 16 Open division at the 2023 Girl’s AAU National Championship Tournament and a 9th Place finish at 2023 USAV Girls Junior National Championships. 

Duffield grew up in Romeo, Michigan and graduated from Romeo High School.Â
